How ideal it must be in some greater world that my dreaming mind can hold stronger a grasp on myself than I. Only when I seem conscious to reflect does she make sense. I had awoke from our night more bothered than when I met her first. The irrevocable time I spent staring at her forgone body, outlined in the crests of sheets she had just deeply clenched her nails in, was concrete. And there I lay strapped by the yellow tape, signs telling me to never cross again. I committed a crime that was me.

Back into my dreams I sank. Naked in the puddle of her ink I stood melting from my pupils, streaming down my pale skin, and leaving my iris crystallized in a universe where I desire to be. A heart pumps in restricted aqueous transmission. My past life of futility makes amends with the celestial draping of sodden sheets canopied over a forest full of rain and life. Angelic beams circumvent my so-called being, while I build a seraphic grin like the sounds of a seraphic fire. I step forward at a moment of critical mass, and here I find my tipping point.

I move on. The occult I thrived for is long past. Her street corner is long gone. The song remains the same, and so forth. And when people ask her name, I tell them, “yes that’s all I know, for it is all I see.” Sketched on her jaded mahogany door, there she is. A-M-A. Or for short…Ama.
