And until that last second of the night did my callow, irrevocable passions thrive in some impractical abundance. The rain that escaped the gutter from the closing of her jaded mahogany door must have drowned my thoughts to the drain at the street corner, since I don’t remember getting home. Sewage dreams was all she wrote, and when the ink ran out, by the snap of her fingers I was sealed and delivered. Unconscious drop of the heart at the fence of life, where at the awaiting light of dawn does only an ounce of poignancy exist, and I am there. A dark rolling sea at slight view from my window sill billows sand-printed waves through my pallid sheets that usually would put me at physical ease, but the must of my own convoluted perceptions lay me mentally distraught. The ripples travel north, jagged, traveling the map of my blood-heavy vessels through the valley of my stale lips to the bayou in my brain. The closer the sun reaches the horizon, the thicker my head gets. Crept over the hill, I awake in a case of sand, sunk in the minds of woman and held up by nothing more than the sun-cracked and crooked floorboard. The heat drags me vertical, and I see the room is staring at me harder than I’m staring at it. Grab my suit jacket and tie, and another rainy day fails to rinse the fine guilt and luxurious dependence knit it the fabric. Let lover lay down a break in the sky, as these are my casual reminders.
